What is Yoga? 

Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline that includes three main things breath control, simple meditation, and specific body movements. While there are many types of yoga, Hatha is widely practiced for health and relaxation.

Yoga breathing techniques are based on the concept that breath is the source of life. Breath control and focus helps you maintain a state of relaxation, while moving deeper into poses.

Yoga poses and movements improve circulation, stimulate the abdominal organs, and put pressure on the glandular system of the body, which can generally result in better overall health.

Meditation practices are techniques that encourage and develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity, and a calm seeing of the true nature of things.

Yoga encourages you to become aware of your body, to reflect on yourself, and to find your inner peace. It exercises not just your body but your mind as well. With a healthy body and mind, you’re on your way to a more fulfilling life.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is similar to yoga but emphasizes your body’s core, including the abdomen, obliques, lower back, inner and outer thigh area. Pilates exercises are designed to develop strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, coordination, balance, and good posture.

It has a much lower chance of injury than with other forms of exercise. The discipline emphasizes correct form instead of going for the burn. There are many different exercises with and without the use of Pilates equipment.

Pilates teaches you to think about how you use your muscles during your workout so you use them better in daily life. Because much of the focus is on good posture and body mechanics, you’ll stand and sit taller and walk more gracefully.
